Abstract
The subject of this Report is a floor and ceiling assembly composed of a 2-1/2 in. thick concrete floor on fluted steel form units and supported by a steel beam. The floor and ceiling assembly was protected with cementitious mixture applied directly to the undersurface of the units and to the beam. The object of this investigation was to establish the fire resistance classification for the floor and ceiling assembly constructed of the materials and in the manner herein described by means of a fire endurance test conducted in accordance with the Standard, Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials, UL263 (ASTM E119, NFPA No. 251).
