Abstract
The subject of this Report is two roof deck assemblies consisting of galvanized-steel roof panels. The panels were installed over glass-fiber blanket insulation and attached to high-strength steel purlins with panel fasteners. The assemblies were identical except for the gauge of the roof deck panels. The object of the investigation was to establish a wind-uplift classification for two roof deck assemblies described in this report by subjecting the assembly to wind-uplift tests. The tests were conducted in accordance with the test method described in the Bulletin of Research No. 52 of Underwriters' Laboratories, Inc., entitled "Development of Apparatus and Test Method for Determining Wind-Uplift Resistance of Roof Assemblies."
