- Abstract
- It is shown that the raing of a boiler, obtained by a tst method based on constant flue-gas temperature, can be seriously affected by soot on the heating surfaces, although the soot may be too slight in amount to affect greatly either the capacity or the efficiency at a constant firing rate. At constant firing rate the soot has a large effect on the flue-gas temperature.
