- Abstract
- The intent of the test program is to evaluate the effectiveness of fine water mist (FWM) to protect the engine nacelles of Naval Aircraft. The program will establish, by test a FMW system design which is equivalent in performance to a Halon 1301 baseline system. The testing will address spray fires, pool fires, and reignition threats that are present in engine nacelles.
