Abstract
The intent of the test program is to evaluate the effectiveness of fine water mist (FWM) to protect the engine nacelles of Naval Aircraft. The program will establish, by test a FMW system design which is equivalent in performance to a Halon 1301 baseline system. The testing will address spray fires, pool fires, and reignition threats that are present in engine nacelles.
