- ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH The research was made to achieve and to compare the fire- and extinguishing behavior of different materials in storage segments of a high rack storage. The used storage material was on the hand made of cardboard boxes and on the other of single face plastic boxes of polyethylene. The fire fighting operation was started with a manual water fog extinguishing gear. It was found out that the water fog device in both tests with the fire load cardboard boxes or plastic boxes of polyetheylene could dam up the fire in the stage of development within minutes and only small burns remained.
