- Abstract
- For many years, the Naval Research Laboratory has been performing research on various aspects of combustion. From time to time, our concern has extended to the fire hazards existing in closed atmospheric systems, particularly hazards to personnel. These systems include such items as compartments in aircraft carriers, submarines and hyperbaric chambers. In this paper I will concentrate on various aspects of hyperbaric chambers, with occasional reference to work in other closed systems.
