Abstract
This book describes the theoretical principles of economic evaluation of the effectiveness of organizational, institutional, engineering and technical, operational and tactical solutions in the field of fire fighting. Special attention has been paid to the principles of specific methods of techno-economic evaluation of different versions of fire-fighting operations with due consideration of the material losses due to fires. Also examined are the specific features of the application of economic and mathematical methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning individual operations for prevention and extinguishment of fires. The book is aimed at students of fire-safety and fire-prevention engineering at Higher Engineering and Fire-Fighting School of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affaires. It will also prove useful to specialists engaged in the research, development, forecasting and planning of various solutions in the field of fire fighting.
