Abstract
For the program on the determination of the structural properties of low-cost house constructions, the Portland Cement Association, Chicago, IL, submitted six specimens representing a floor construction, which consisted of precast concrete joists and bridging and a reinforced-concrete floor slab. The specimens were subjected to transverse, impact, and concentrated loads. All loads were applied to the upper faces of the specimens. For each of the loads three like specimens were tested. The deformation under load and the set after the load was removed were measured for uniform increments of load. The results are presented in graphs and in a table.
