- Abstract
- A recent controlled demonstration in the south proved the immunity of both penetatreated and pressure creosoted posts in a severe 750 degree fire test in dense underbrush. Chosen at random, three stock wood posts withstood this extemely hot blaze without incurring damage except smudge. The only flash fire developed in a small season check of one post, but it died out in less than a minute. Here is the complete story of that experiment.
