- Abstract
- This report, based on a study of individual fire and weather reports, evaluates the danger index tables as they were utilized in Alberta over a seven year period, 1957-1963. The period includes a wide variety of fire seasons. For example, in 1962 a total of 278 fires burned near 3,000 acres of forestedland, whereas in 1961, 811 fires burned more than 157,000 acres.
