Abstract
When choosing type of storage equipment for data tapes, diskettes or other materials for protection against fire it is essential to know which temperature and humidity that is acceptable for the materials. Filing cabinets and data cabinets are classified after certain levels of maximum temperature and relative humidity. In this report these criteria are determined for paper documents, data media and data diskettes. This report also gives information about how other types of materials, for example video tapes, react to increased temperature and air humidity.
