- [ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH] According to tests (as per ISO standards) on the influence of a smoldering fire on the ceiling hot zone and the heat generation of a smoldering fire, if there is a hot zone near the ceiling, or a 2 deg difference between floor and ceiling temperatures, then smoke from a smoldering fire cannot reach the ceiling. The smoke density decreases.
