- ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH In the southern Brundesländer (counties) control centers for fire protection, technical help, emergency service and catastrophy protection are still rare. Up to now in Bavaria the ambulance control centers of the Red Cross and the control centers of theFire Service are stricltly separated. In 1991 professional Fire Service in Munich undertook first steps to build up an integrated control center, but was met by resistance. The edealized conception of the professional Fire Service provides three functions: urgent fire calls, calls for technical help and emergency ambulance service. Not urgent calls especially for ambulance services. Advise and information in cases of poisoning, central transfer of patients and information on hazardous materials, etc.
