- This report consists of statistical investigation of the frequency of fire alarms including false ones concerning twelve large-scale buildings, experimental research on the performance of smoke detectors under several kinds of smoldering smoke, a light-absorption type smoke detector recently developed, and the relation between visibility in smoke and the performance of smoke detctors from the viewpoint of taking evacuation.
