- Abstract
- Information is needed on the environmental aging of various candidate fire suppressant dry bay materials. This includes resistance to water, fuel, lubricating oil, hydraulic fluid, and heat. Three rigid materials (a polyurethane, a polyisocyanurate, and a polyimide foam) and five flexible materials (two polyester mattings and three polyether polyurethane foams) were subjected to environmental testing. The best rigid material and the best flexible material for this purpose are identified.
