- Abstract
- [Abstract in English] It is of great significance to simulate crowd flow in emergency for evaluating evacuation plans in a multi-story building. Simulation models in the past have required supposing flow direction of crowd, but that is not always well-known. Hence it is necessary to build a model of crowd flow on the floor where crowd can choose any direction. The paper describes crowd movement (flow) as a motion of paritcles in a field. A particle corresponds to a person and a field corresponds to the influence of surroundings upon crowd, e.g., fire, smoke, crowd guiding, crowd density, etc. The field is decided upon instances of human behavior in emergency. Meanwhile crowd distribuiton is described by mesh data technique and crowd flow reduces to trasition number of crowd between neighboring meshes. Crowd flow in emergency is simulated by using the crowd movement model and the crowd distribution model mentioned above.
