- The work under this contract was aimed at increasing our understanding of the physological factors involved in the development of the syndrome known as burn shock following thermal injury to an animal. the approach used was to investigate some of the systemic changes that occur remote from the local site of heat application, in an attempt to discover the earliest physiological sequelae of a burn.
