- Abstract
- Be it enacted by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows: 1. Short Title and Commencement - (1) This Act may be cited as the Building Act 1993, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Building Act 1991 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act). (2) Sections 5,8, and 11 of this Act shall come info force on the 1st day of January 1994. (3) Section 13 of this Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of July 1992. (4) Except as provided in subsections (2) and (3) of this section, this Act shall come into force on the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
