- Abstract
- The results are presented of a study which was conducted to determine the preparedness of small communities (18,000-25,000 population) to cope with major fires and contingencies arising from server natural or nuclear dissters. Several New England communities were studied. The strategy employed involved extensive use of field discussions with personnel representing both the fire service and various levels of the Civil Defense organization.
