Abstract
[ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH] Two groups of ionization detectors aging from 1-3.5 years old were submitted to different temperature, relative humidity and time conditions. Dust and lint were found in the ionization compartments or on the internal poles of all detectors triggered by humidity. Dust and lint formed a bridge between the central compartment and the internal poles, absorbed moisture and set off the alarms.
