- Abstract
- The program reported herein has the objective of providing a versatile, reuseable fire test facility for evaluating the flow of heat and fire gases into unsealed basement shelters. Included in the first year of effort were the construction and general instrumentation of the facility as well as the conduct of an intial program of tests. By providing a full-scale structure having many of the controlled features of laboratory experimentation, the facility is adaptable to systematic study of various parameters, as well as for spot checking results of theoretical or small-scale laboratory studies.
