- Abstract
- The report provides basic energy conservation information of an economic nature to homeowners. It is concerned primarily with energy conservation improvements which will decrease heating and cooling costs in houses. Investment in insulation, storm windows and doors, and weatherstripping/caulking is examined with regards to different climates and different energy prices in order to determine the combination of these improvements which will provide the greatest long-run economies in space heating and cooling to the homeowner. Information of a general nature on the proper use of such improvement is outlined and further references are listed.
