- Abstract
- The aim of this pre-project has been to evaluate the feasibility of developing an expert system for analysis of fire risks in industries, and to plan for a main project with this aim. The risk evaluation will to a high extend be based on probabilistic methods, with the focus on optimizing the fire protection from a total economic point of view. As the analysis procedure will include frequent choices between alternative evaluation methods, and will rely on the systematic use of expert knowledge, it seems both reasonable and feasible to develop the optimization tool as an expert system.
