- Abstract
- This years Proceedings represent another electronic advance over years past. After the strong positive reception for publishing the Proceedings of the 12th Conference on a CD, we asked whether it would be feasible to go one step further and include on this years CD the cumulative papers from all the prior Conferences along with this years papers. This is what you see before you now. In future years, we will update this CD with the current years papers, thus providing a record of the field that advances with time. On this CD, we have included an author index and a rough subject index. Budget limits kept us from doing a full-blown keyword index. We invite your thoughts on the current version and solicit your suggestions for improvement, recognizing that the cost ceiling still exists. The numbers of attendees and papers at the 13th Conference were lower than in recent years. We have indications that this was in part due to the weak economy and in part due to the declining resources being applied to halon replacement studies. With continuing assistance from Gamboa International Corp., there will certainly be a continuation of the Conferences as long as there are new developments to present and discuss. We received many suggestions for adaptations for next year and will be working with these in the coming months. Stay tuned to the web site for details: www.bfrl.nist.gov/866/HOTWC. The pages linking to the actual papers are ordered by year and then title. To conserve space only the title, authors and year are included in the link. The additional information needed to cite a particular paper can be obtained by following this link Proceedings Information.
