- Abstract
- ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH The crucial factor for the efficiency of an extinguishing plant is the time elapsed between the outbreak of the fire and the beginning of the fire fighting activities. The very first minutes of a fire determine the consequences: whether the fire will be extinguished or heavy loss be suffered. This report compares step by step the time it takes to fight a fire with an automatical extinguishing plant on the one side and a semi-stationary one on the other side. The success of a fire fighting action with semi-stationary plants always depends on their good qualities, the team strength and the equipment of the fire brigade in charge. The latter one for its part depends on the infrastructure at the place of operation (communication lines, hydrants, extinguishing cloth, etc.).
