- ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH In the fire service of the Netherlands more changes have taken place lately than in the last decades. As far as possible the organization and working conditions are going to undergo significant changes in the next years. It is not easy to say which way to go. One thing is for sure, acceptable developments can't be realized without approval of the fire service. This needs understanding on both sides by politicians and fire service.
