- Abstract
- A packaging method was developed and evaluated for the MK 138 Mod 0 Recall Signal. Twenty-one signals are packed in a PA19 Ammunition Box. A polyurethane encasement was designed to protect each signal from the effects of an explosind signal in the package. The polyurethane encasements and fire-retardant polyethylene foam significantly reduce the hazards of sympathetic detonation and mass detonation, while protecting the signals from handling and transportation.
