Abstract
ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH Within the last years it could be shown that higher chlorinated dioxines as PCDD and PCDF are formed at nearly all processes of combustion and fires. In our experiments we tried to find out if these dioxines could be washed with the water used for firefighting into the soil and into the ground water or into the canalization and swearage plants. It could be shown that higher chlorinated dioxines in contrast to their water solubility were conducted in a higher amount compared to lower chlorinated dioxines by the fire extinguishing foam into the deeper layers of the soil and into the ground water or the canalization. These results are contradictory the assumptions and findings made in the past.
