Abstract
In the present paper we attempt to remedy this situation by investigating H2-O2-Ar flames in which HCN is added directly to the reactants. The analysis of the data is performed by computing the structure of the flames using the best kinetic information available in the literature and comparing the calculations to the data. By making such comparisons we can elucidate the details of the mechanism by which HCN is converted to NO and N2 in these flames and compare our conclusions to those of previous investigations.
