- Abstract
- There is a significant amount of activity in the U.S. centered around several different appoaches to probabilistic and analytical system approaches to building design. In general the more sophisticated and detailed approaches have concentrated on qualitative overviews and the methodology involved in quantitative measurements. For the most part these systems have either used hypothetical values for the variables to poduce examples or have used the judgment of "experts" in establishing the values of the input variables.
