- Abstract
- With the technological advance of the last two decades has come increasing use of automatic fire detection and alarm systems. According to a paper published by the FPA, the advantages lie in the enhanced safety of occupants of a building (by the giving of an early warning of fire), and the reduced loss of property (by the summoning, at an early stage, of the fire brigade). That paper underscores the point that: The most effective systems are connected to the fire brigade or to a central fire alarm depot.
