- ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH Even high safety standards cannot totally eliminate the release of dangerous substances. To consider the risk it is essential to estimate the effects of such releases of substances. This report shows some possibilities to calculate the potential effects of release of dangerous substances after technical incidents. The main point of this presentation lies in the possible effects of fires or explosions. Easy ways to make calculations are given, which helps to estimate the potential risk.
