Abstract
ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH The fire-safe construction of a building will generally be done on the basis of all-inclusive demands relating to the standardized temperature-time curve. Doing so the possible influence on fire development and to the same extend on the increase of temperatures of structural members because of measures to prevent fire spread or to extinguish fire (e.g. by the fire brigade) are not taken into consideration. Relating to the experimental analysis a physically well-founded model has been developed to describe the interaction between a fire in a room and sprayed water. This is done by using the balance equitation of mass, energy and impulse as well as a reduced model of the chemical kinetics of wood allowing the influence of fire fighting (sprinkler, fire brigade) on the development of the temperature of room set on fire to be calculated. The support of the modelling is the result of experimental analysis in a fire room with the size of 4.8 m x 4.8 m x 2.55 m. Comparing the experiments in the fire room with the calculaitons based on the reduced model there was a good conformity between calculated and experimental results.
