Abstract
The calculation of the growth of a fire in an enclosure appears to be practical with the modern high capacity calculating machine. The present program can stably calculate the entire fire from ignition to burn out. The physical problem is treated as a collection of interacting modules: fire, plume, layer, radiation, convection, etc. These are called as needed by the subprograms directing the numerical soltuion at successive time steps and the convergence of the iteration process within each time step.
