- Abstract
- A color calibrator was designed, fabricated, and evaluated with a remote radar weather display system (RRWDS). This report describes the feasibility of an inexpensive color calibrator based on three photodiodes encapsulated with special red, green, and blue color filters to detect light from the phosphor colors used in the weather intensity levels. Further development of the color calibrator is recommended to produce a "trut" colorimeter, which could measure chromaticity directly in terms of the C.I.E. coordinate system.
