- Abstract
- A number of conceivable biological effects of selected halogenated hydrocarbons have been studied with laboratory animals subjected to the compounds. The fluorinated compounds (Halon 1301 and Freon 116) had only minimal observed effects, with the exception of cardiac sensitization. More studies are planned for the biological action of fluorocarbons.
