- The necessity for having rules, approval, and control of gaseous extinguishing systems is found in: 1) Application purpose, protection of persons and values; and 2) The characteristics of the extinguishing agents. Whic rules, approval/and control measures being used are up to the authorities in the individual countries, but it is clear that the requirements develop concurrently with industrialization and the increasing Fire Risks.
