- My charge is to briefly report to this conference on the two predecessor activities that occurred during 1979. These activities consisted of a series of six separate workshops on Life Safety and the Handicapped held during August and September of 1979 and the Conference on Fire Safety and the Handicapped, held at the National Bureau of Standards November 26-29, 1979.
