- Abstract
- During the first quarterly period of the contract a literature search has been conducted covering unclassified materials dealing with flames and combustion. Much of this material has been surveyed in recently published volumes by A.G.Gaydon, B. Lewis and other authors. A very large number of papers in this field have been presented at various symposiums during the past five years and subsequently published in volume form. The references given in these treatises and symposium volumes provide a convenient guide to the periodical literature up through 1952. The journals from 1952 to 1956 have been examined and a card index compiled. Reprts on flame and combustion studies listed by ASTIA are also being investigated.
