- Abstract
- As a consequence to the development we are practising in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of construction, new styles and types of buildings have been adopted for which new building materials have been used. Some of these materials are probably not suitable for use under the climatic conditions of the Kingdom; in addition to their dangerous characteristics. Hence, the Civil Defence Department of the Ministry of the Interior holds meetings with concerned industrial sectors with the purpose of minimizing utilization of such types of buildings., i.e. the use of non-concrete pre-fabricated constructions made of inflammable materials.
