- This article is intended to furnish our multi-national readership with an awareness and some background material on the use and regulations governing PCBs in various parts of the world. The article is not comprehensive in itself, and cannot be used as a substitute for the many and varied national and local regulations which apply to PCBs and PCB equipment. The article reports on the most recent rulings (July 1985) promulgated by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, followed by reports from Singapore, Australia, Japan, and Europe.
