- Abstract
- Experiments on axisymmetric counterflow diffusion flames stabilized between two preheated fuel and oxidizer streams are described. Measurements of temperature, species, and soot fields are conducted across these flames to determine their sooting structure. These results are analyzed according to a model for counterflow diffusion flames. The overall soot formation rate is determined by this model.
