Abstract
The autoclave expansion values of the cements in this investigation ranged from minus 0.05 to plus 0.50 percent. Statistical analyses used to determine the variables associated with the expansion confirmed that MgO and C3A were most significant. Increased values of the alkalies, SrO, V, and loss on ignition were also associated with higher autoclave expansion, whereas increases in SO3 and Cr were associated with a decrease in the expansion values.
