- Our research activity is funded in part (45%) by the Factory Mutual System and in part (55%) by governmental agencies, trade associations, and corporations. The objective of all this research is to reduce losses of property and life by fire or explosion. This report will first outline the internally funded program, and then mention the most active areas of contract research.
