- Abstract
- Halons are increasingly used as an extinguishing agent in fire fighting burning fuels. The extinguishing properties of some of these halons, of halon mixtures, and of halon-carbondioxyde mixtures have been compared. The reduction of the laminar burning velocity of a stoichometrical propane-air mixture effected per concentraion unit of the extinguishing agent was applied as a standard for comparison.
