Abstract
ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH In a test program at the Institute of Building Materials, Solid Constructions and Fire Protection of the Technical University of Braunschweig the smoke- and heat outlet was tested experimental and theoretical with an offtake. In these tests was found out that the outlet of smoke-gas by a shaft depends on the geodetic level difference between entry and exit opening as well as on the flow resistance of the outlet. In contrast to the usual smoke outlet the evel of the hot gas layer in rooms on fire has less influence on the outlet effect. Based on the test results and parametic studies, that were taken through with the simulation model FIGARO, a relation for smoke outlet shafts was derived that permits a calculation of smoke outlets in dependence on geometrics and flow resistance, which are equivalent to DIN 18232 Part 2. A similar solution is also given for mechanical smoke outlets. The needed high local requirements for outlet shafts in large smoke sections can be reduced. Hereby it is possible to calculate the needed mechanic output which is given by the norm of outlets and the required thickness of layer.
