- Abstract
- For fire resistance test specimens the moisture condition within the specimen, before testing, should be approximately the same as that of a similar construction in service. According to ASTM fire test specification E 119-69, such a condition is reached when the moisture content of the specimen becomes equal to that which would be established at equilibrium in an atmosphere of 50 to 75% relative humidity and 73 ± 5 deg F temperature.
