- Abstract
- The law which governs fire protection for steel building frameworks is based on insuring safety with respect to the internal fire load of the buildings themselves. It is calculated according to the real load and as a functon of several potential parameters, such as the height of the building from the ground; the number of stories above and below-ground; the type and location of the safety exits; the quality and location of firehoses and extinguishers; and the distance and travel time from the nearest fire station.
