- To amend the Organic Act of the National Bureau of Standards to authorize a fire research and safety program and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled. That this Act may be cited as the "Fire Research and Safety Act of 1968".
