Abstract
The proceedings of an International Workshop held at the National Institute of Standards and Technology on March 20, 21 and 22, 1991 are presented. The purpose of the Workshop was to examine new developments in the application of risk analysis in offshore oil and gas operations. The proceedings include: an executive summary, invited papers on current practice in the United States, Canada, the united Kingdom, and Norway, and summary reports and recommendations of six Working Groups: (1) Experience Data Bases and Case Study Anal;yses; (2) Risk Management Practices; (3) Structures: Risk and Reliability Issues; (4) Production Facilities; (5) Pipelines and Subsea Systems; and (6) Drilling Operations. Also included are Working Group theme papers.
